'From the first moment you already understand that Moran is not an artist like others . This album is a real pearl'

“Time prisoner” is undoubtedly Moran's most ambitious project and a gem for all lovers of good music. A work about women who are prisoners of time of their own biological clock that combines dark epic rock and folk metal in an exquisite way. Listening to it live was not only a great delight due to its great musical richness, but also due to its impeccable staging. With musicians such as drummer Marcos Feminella or bassist Ishay Sommer, those in attendance were able to enjoy an absolutely unforgettable concert.'

Musix Magazine - Xandria/Moran Magal live review
Metalist Magazin IL
'Moran's new album "Time Prisoner", released last April through the prestigious German label 7hard, can definitely provide you with that moment of distilled happiness where you discover a wonderful new world. know what? You may very well feel this way even if you simply like music written and performed for the sake of it without regard to stylistic titles. By the way, the style of the album can be described as a gentle symphonic prog metal, which, like her previous works, puts the pleasant and touching vocals of the creator in the center, and of course her unusual piano playing.

'Moran Magal is a versatile singer/songwriter and composer with a deep, mesmerizing voice and a gifted pianist. After releasing albums as a solo artist and gaining recognition in the metal scene, Moran moved to Berlin from Israel and formed her band MORAN MAGAL under her name. Moran Magal's music is a combination of dark folk rock with a gothic metal touch: melodic, epic, romantic and powerful. Also as a solo artist, Moran is known for her unique piano and vocal arrangements of metal classics. Their collaborations with world-renowned metal greats such as Warrel Dane (Nevermore), Tanzwut, Kobi Farhi and Yossi Sassi of Orphaned Land have garnered thousands of viewers on YouTube and raving critics worldwide.'

Metal Temple 10/10 Under Your Bed Review
“Under your bed” starts with a 7/8 tight verse, then changes tempo, key, time signature for the enchanting chorus, being the voice the sole conductor within these emotional shifting. The song lasts three minutes and has all those Prog-muso elements without sacrificing the hooks of the song. That´s what I called the QUEEN school of symphonic Pop-Rock, and proves you can deliver a complex piece with ear candy flavor.'

'Thoughtful and dedicated Israeli poetic singer-songwriter and gifted pianist Moran Magal never did shy away from thematizing difficult, touching and rather dark topics in her music, as she proved once more with her praised latest album Under Your Bed (2019). Some superb reviews applauded the melancholic approach on those topics for its somber beauty and appropriateness. The first single from above-named album, the title track, dealt with classic childhood fears and was a song against child abuse, while the second single “Black Swan” addressed female roles in society, underlined their strength and expressed how freedom for all women is without any alternative. It was followed by the epic tunes of Tododo, a song about the haunting childhood memories after the death of a loved one.'

Time for Metal -Xandria/Moran Magal live review
'Xandria looked for support for their short tour. In the Hellraiser Leipzig are Moran Magal from Israel, consisting of a singer and a band of the same name. According to her press release, she is something of a symphonic rock singer-songwriter. In terms of genre, the music that she performs on stage with her band can be described as piano-heavy gothic rock. Very catchy and, thanks to the piano, emotional at the same time. Tonight's playlist consists mainly of songs from their still current album Under Your Bed from 2019. In addition, in the middle part of the show there are also some songs that have not yet been released, which are sure to be found on their upcoming album. A very interesting choice by Xandria (or her record company Napalm Records?) to present a little new music apart from the bands of the genre that are known in Germany. Would love to have more of this!'
